The French-made Caudron G3 was a tractor-type aircraft with a forward nacelle for the pilot, used in the early part of WWI for reconnaissance missions. It was a crude and tricky craft to fly as it used wing-warping rather than ailerons for banking.
Technical Details
The Caudron's of 1914-1915 were not armed except for what rifles and pistols the pilot carried with him. Caudron switched from pusher-type aircraft to single and double engine tractor aircraft.
